With the firework ban in full effect we headed down to join the crowds welcoming the fire fighters back to town after their 16 - hour shifts. There were so many people there, the energy was amazing! Fire fighters, covered in soot, still took the time to high-five the kids, wave & take pictures of the crowds. Kids gave drawings to the men & women that have been working non-stop to contain the fire & the adults passed out home made chocolate chip cookies along with many "thanks!" It was great to be a part of it!
